Help With Scrapbook Baby Book

John asks…

Making a baby book scrapbook- what are some page ideas/things to include?

I am trying to put together a scrapbook instead of buying one for my newborn. What are important things to include? I want to include things that happened during the pregnancy, too, like the baby shower. I only have the first page so far that has the birthday, weight, length, hospital, and time of birth.
Thanks for any help. I have tried to find things online, but have had no luck!

I have a whole scrapbook dedicated to when i was pregnant

at my baby shower everyone that came, made a page for my book, they put a photo of themselves as well as a prediction on the birth date, weight, boy/girl etc – so i put all those pages in the book and added all the ultrasound photos, all the photos of me when i was preggers etc its great to look back on – and 90% of the ppl guessed the date my son was to be born!!!

But if you just starting now, start with ultrasound photos, then pregnancy photos, then start from birth and keep going – make sure its in order from birth up etc

put bub’s hospital bracelet in there, i also made a scrapbook page and wrote on it all the presents we got and who gave them to us

Mary asks…

Do you have a scrapbook/baby book for your child?

My Mom made one for me, and I enjoy looking at it.

I have a plain journal that I bought before I got pregnant.
When I found out I was pregnant I began scrap booking all of my experiences in it.
I have details from everything major we’ve done plus a few pictures.

Just curious as to how many people have them for their children.
What is it it? How often do you update it?

Thanks ♥

I love to scrapbook, but I honestly can’t keep up with it!! So, I have a photo album and it starts with my daughters ultrasound pictures and goes from there. I also have a baby book that I write EVERYTHING in:) I am also going to buy a capsule or box to keep the bigger items that won’t fit in the baby book. For me, I realized that it doesn’t matter how the memories are captured, as long as they are there!!

There is a lot of “firsts” when you have a baby. Get a calendar and put it up somewhere where it’s easy to see and write on. Then when ever your baby does something, jot it down on the calendar. Then once a month or so you can take it from the calender and put it in the baby book. I did this for both my boys and it was nice because I didn;t have to try to remember when something actually happened.

First photograph, footprints, birth announcement, news of the day(gas price!), pictures and info of baptism, height and weight charts, immunizations, medical records, dental info, details of first Christmas, birthday, other holidays, knows mother and father, discovers own hands and feet, reaches toward people or things, picks up objects, raises head, laughs, sleeps through the night, rolls over, crawls, sits up alone, aware of strangers, pulls self up, stands alone, climbs stairs, takes first steps, walks alone, holds bottle, holds spoon and attempts to feed self.
