Help With Newborn Baby Books

Linda asks…
Books or Website for bringing a NewBorn Baby home?
I am about 5 weeks pregnant with my first child. I am starting to freak out a little bit since I don’t know anything about children. Is there a book or website you would reccomend for bringing a baby home. I have already read everything about pregnancy but now I need to know how many times to feed a baby, when they go to sleep….
Thanks!

I really like the book, “What to Expect the First Year” it gives tons of information on when your baby should be hitting milestones, and when you should start to be concerned. It gives information on diapers (how often and what to expect when you undo those velcros) and feeding. Sleeping and what activities and things you can do with baby can also be found.
I also recommend “The New Mother’s Guide to Breastfeeding” if you plan on nursing, there is a lot of great information in that one too!

Best parenting book for newborn baby?
Looking to buy a parenting book on how to care for our newborn baby. There are soooo many books on parenting newborns – would love to get people’s opinions on what books they’ve read and would recommend.

This series is soooo good! I first picked up the “What to Expect When You’re Expecting”, then to the the “…the First Year” and finally on to the “…Toddler Years”. All excellent books, with great details, charts, ideas, etc. There’s a good list of symptoms, in case your little one isn’t feeling well, as well as places to keep track of growth, etc.
Blessings on the bundle of joy!

David asks…
What should i name the newborn baby in my book?
Okay, so i’m writing a book (at least, i hope). The babies mother (Tayla) is a goody2-shoes, straight A student, you konw what i mean. But her younger sister Madison (16) discovers her 18 yr sis Taylor’s positive pregnancy test. Not long before Taylor is due, she is found murdered. I am thinking that they save the baby.
What sex should it be and what name?

Sounds interesting!
I agree with what the person above me said. Who will be naming the baby? Will it be Madison? Or Taylor’s parents? Is Madison anything like her sister (perfect straight A student) or the opposite? I think it’s important for the baby’s name.
Girl: Sophie, Amelia, Claire, Leah, Ella, Natalie, Grace, Emma, Lily, Madelyn, Hailey, Caroline, Rose, Hannah, Abigail, Charlotte, Olivia
boy: Connor, Lucas, Evan, Joshua, Austin, Noah, Samuel, Ryan, Collin, Nathan, Alexander, Caleb, Ethan, Kyle, Logan, Gavin
I can see her having a boy. Since there are 2 sisters in the one family, it might be nice to have a boy character. I like Connor for him.
