Ideas and Build Baby Scrapbook Reviews - FAQ and Questions
- Creative Memories is SO EXPENSIVE! Is it worth it to spend the extra,do you think the quality is way better?
I am just having a hard time justifying their prices when I know so much of it has the commissions built in. On the other hand, this is my 1st scrapbook, and is my Sons baby book, so I don't want to be cheap now and have it look terrible. What parts are worth spending more on, and what can I skimp on?
A Definitely buy your stickers and paper elsewhere. Check Wal-Mart and Target for this, or for specialized paper, try Michael's or JoAnn Fabrics. I like CM books and refills, and their little cropping system, but just about everything else I have found much cheaper elsewhere. Have fun!

- 1 year anniversary gift to my bf?
I was clueless as to what to get my boyfriend for our 1 year anniversary... and a lot of people suggest making a scrapbook, or converting a photo into an art piece, etc. I just want to know if my idea is.....well dumb?! I plan on taking him out to a nice restaurant where i would pay (that's not the dumb part) I also made a caricature of us...where it has our separate interests but also some inside jokes between us, also instead of making a scrapbook (because my bf isn't the type to pull it out and look at it on random days) I found this site where I can get a "Smile book" ? free of charge and i just have to pay for the s&h... i think?... haven't really tried it out yet. But with that i will have 26 pages of photos in a book form. The other thing i was going to do was make a build-a-bear and have it wear like a jersey from his favorite team, have iron man undies on (he's a fan of iron man), have baby jordan high tops on, and then i would make a backpack and put things in there that we've done over the years like concert tickets, movie stubs, just like random memories we've done over the years. Please help... I want this present to be special! well i thought anniversary gifts are suppose to be sentimental... to remember the fun things we did our first year together like how we met and things we've had to accomplish. I'd rather make the gift about accomplishing our first year and just us together in general not just about him? and i don't know if he likes to look at the past but i think it's an achievement in itself that we've made it to a whole year.. I go to school out of state so this is sort of a long distance relationship during the school year and it's pretty hard considering i don't get to see him as often as i'd like. We don't go out to eat often..because we're "poor college kids" so we have a budget to follow, and I don't pay for pretty much anything (which i think is average..guy pays..that's why i thought it'd be fun to switch that up a bit) I'm a crafty/artsy person so it's probably expected that he's going to get a homemade gift which he loves! hah i don't necessarily want him to put the bear on his bed and cu
A The most important thing about an anniversary gift is that it's sentimental. If you're going to stay with tradition, the first year should include "paper" somehow, but that's optional. I would highly recommend something like a collage picture frame - a few different photos of something meaningful to you that you can hang up and always look back to and remember your first year together. It could be pictures of you, pictures of places or things that are meaningful or symbolic, it's really up to you, but in my book that's the perfect gift. See http://mybarnwoodframes.com/collage-frames for examples. You could either buy one or make something similar.
