Build A Baby Book

- What cool things did you do for your baby's first birthday party? and what do you think of my ideas?
My son is turning one August 18th and I want to start planning what all I'm going to do for the party. I know that he wont know what's going on or anything but I would still like it to be very special so that later on in his life he(or I, since he's a boy) can enjoy the video and pictures. I was thinking I could buy construction paper, paint, stickers, markers, scrapbook stuff, etc. etc. and everyone could decorate one, have it be a cool way to make a guest book. Use a three hole punch and put it in a binder along with pictures or something for memories of who all came to his first birthday. I could make one just for him, his daddy could, grandma's, grandpa's, aunts, uncle... Something more personal than just a Halmark card. I'm going with a frog theme because he always has his legs up next to his body like a little frog. I've called him "my little frog" since he was born so frogs have always just stuck. I buy him frog stuffed animals, clothes with frogs on them, and he has a giant frog bath toy holder that sticks to the wall so a frog theme is special to me. I'm going to make a frog cake for everyone else to eat then buy a little cake with a frog on it to use for his smash cake. Green decorations, plates, napkins, table cover, cups, balloons. Maybe green juice and call it "Bug Juice" At Hobby Lobby I saw little rubber frogs that I could use as decoration and then give out when people start leaving. I'd like other ideas or suggestions of what to do. I don't really know what all to do at a first birthday party... Is it just show up mingle a little bit, have cake, then do presents and that's it? A I had it at home with some family and friends. Cake and conversing pretty much covered it. There were decorations, a Dinosaur theme, but that was it. My son was running around at 12 months and never sat still. He played with my friend's kids who were 3, 5, 8, and 13.

- Letter to my sister? Advice?
So I am writing letters to my little sister as she grows up. Their are 7 girls in our family (22,19,17,12,10,8,3) I'm 17. But when the 22 yr old was growing up mom wrote her letters. The 22 yr old wrote the 19 yr old. The 19 wrote me so it's my turn. Each of us get a scrapbook and then like a cute binder full of letters on graduation day from 8th grade. So I just wanted to know what you think of a few of my letters to my sis. Dear _____, I have watched you grow from baby to big girl, and man oh man, it has gone fast. Remember the days of baths together, swimming in our pool and playing on the swing set with (22 and 19 yr olds). [I'll use their names] You are so sweet and I am so glad God gave me such an amazing sister. I can't believe it is time for me to give you this letter. I hope as I go off to college and you begin high school that we remember all the times we had together, and God love you and has a plan, no matter what. I want you to know no matter how busy I am or what is going on please call me if you need me. I love you my little pooka shell. Love, _____ Then I just have a little like prayer things for her book I have a few throughout but what do you think of this one: Dear God, you sure knew what you were doing when you gave me this amazing little sister. I am so happy she is sweet, loving and caring. She has also taught me patients!!!! I am thankful she has enjoyed church and I pray she truely love you. God help her know I will always be around when she needs me, and so will you. Thank you for giving me a loving family, and the best sisters I could ask for. In Jesus name, Amen.

A I don't know but "their" should be "there" as in "there are 7 girls in our family ..."
